Mokkoji is absolutely my favorite shabu restaurant in Orange County. My favorite item is the beef belly, which runs at a measly $10 for lunch and $15 for dinner. Includes unlimited cabbage and bok choy too, where else can you get that?! The meat is fatty and delicious, but for those who don't like that their regular beef is great too. Make sure you ask for them to make you the porridge at the end! You can choose from 3 different flavors, but my favorite is squid ink. I believe it's an extra $1 charge for lunch, but it's complimentary with dinner. You get a lot of bang for your buck here, and their goma sauce is amazing! Mokkoji gets a 4.5/5 for me.
